SmartDrones Sp. z o.o. is currently implementing a project entitled: “Drone rental platform for conducting automatic inspections of critical infrastructure” with the number of the funding agreement no. 4/I/FENG/PCI/2025 under Measure 2.28 Startup Booster Poland, financed by the European Regional Development Fund under the European Funds for Modern Economy Program 2021-2027.

The aim of the project is to develop a web application that will integrate infrastructure owners, service companies and licensed drone pilots in one digital environment, enabling flexible organization, implementation and management of inspections based on drone rental.

 

The offer is addressed to companies servicing wind turbines, owners and manufacturers of wind turbines and drone pilots/operators.

 

Planned effects:

Task no. 1: Development of interactive system mockups and inventory of the drone structure along with possible corrections.

Task No. 2: Implementation of the application and readiness of the drone for rent.

Task No. 3: Testing all functionalities of the AIP application with real users and the drone in operational conditions.

Task No. 4: Conducting a pilot of the AIP platform with a drone at the client’s.

SmartDrones Sp. z o.o. implemented the project entitled: “Autonomous Wind Turbine Blade Inspection System (AIS-B)” with the number of the co-financing agreement no. POPW.01.01.02-18-0014/21-00 under the European Regional Development Fund, Operational Program Eastern Poland 2014-2020 Priority Axis I: Entrepreneurial Eastern Poland Measure 1.1 Start-up platforms for new ideas Sub-measure 1.1.2 Development of startups in Eastern Poland.

The aim of the project is to prepare a device installed on a drone, enabling the performance of fully automated inspection of wind turbine blades with the following functionalities:
– acquisition of photos of the wind turbine blade surface, thanks to which the Client receives photos of the entire surface of the wind turbine blades along with their location,
– real-time detection (analysis) of damage to the surface of the wind turbine blades, ending with a report on the technical condition of the wind turbine blade surface sent directly to the Client.

 

The offer is addressed to companies servicing wind turbines and owners and manufacturers of wind turbines.

 

Planned effects:

Task No. 1: Creation of a functional prototype of the AIS-B system.

Task No. 2: Implementation of tests and corrections to the functional prototype of the AIS-B. Start of test sales.

Task No. 3: Market implementation of the system and commercial sales.
